Their service model is built on dependable delivery, professional setup, and efficient pick-up, ensuring events and trade shows run smoothly with the right environment and atmosphere.
The opening for a Non-CDL Driver at CORT Tradeshow and Events in Coppell, TX involves becoming a vital part of the delivery team. These drivers play a crucial role by representing the company directly to customers, ensuring that all furnishings and equipment are delivered safely, on time, and according to client specifications. This is more than just a driving role; it requires interacting with clients professionally and overseeing the setup and breakdown of materials at event sites. The job includes operating box trucks or sprinter vans, supervising temporary labor forces on site, and performing inspections and safety checks to guarantee compliance with standards.
The position offers competitive compensation at $20 per hour, with pay commensurate with experience. Schedules will vary based on business needs, requiring flexibility, including working weekends, early mornings, and nights. The company fosters a culture that promotes from within, providing paid training and weekly pay to support employee success.
Benefits are comprehensive and include medical, dental, and vision insurance available starting the first month after hire, a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching, paid vacation, sick days, holidays, company-paid disability and life insurance, tuition reimbursement, employee discounts, perks, and a profit sharing plan. This ensures long-term career growth and support for employees both inside and outside of work.
The driver role incorporates a variety of responsibilities such as loading furniture carefully to avoid damage, planning logistics in teamwork meetings, performing truck inspections before and after trips, driving safely in compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, delivering and assembling furniture according to client floor plans, pickup and damage inspection of rented products, and supervising temporary labor to ensure efficient and safe completion of all tasks. Drivers may also assist with warehouse duties including organizing, cleaning, and unloading as needed, ensuring smooth operations across all facets presented.
Candidates are expected to hold a valid driver’s license, have experience driving commercial vehicles (preferably with at least one year of experience with a 24-foot box truck or larger), be physically capable of handling furniture loading/unloading, and comply with FMCSA regulations including maintaining a valid DOT Medical Certificate. Safety and professionalism are paramount in every interaction and task. CORT Tradeshow and Events offers a secure and supportive work environment for those seeking a challenging and rewarding role in transportation and event logistics.
