Job Description

This position is offered by a company specializing in logistics and material transport solutions, dedicated to ensuring efficient and safe delivery of materials to customers. As a pivotal part of the supply chain, this organization prides itself on maintaining high standards of safety, customer service, and operational excellence. The company operates within a structured warehouse environment and transports a variety of materials over designated routes, ensuring that every delivery meets the quality and safety standards expected by clients. Their commitment to safety-sensitive protocols underscores the importance they place on compliance, driver health, and road safety, aligned with federal regulations.

The role of the material transporter is integral to the company's operations, focusing on transporting materials safely and securely from the warehouse to various delivery locations. This is a hands-on position demanding a high level of responsibility and attention to detail. The transporter is tasked with ensuring that the materials loaded correspond precisely with shipping documentation such as the Ship Ticket and Delivery Manifest. The job requires meticulous care in the loading and unloading process to prevent damage and to verify the accuracy of the delivered materials.

Beyond transportation, the role encompasses overall warehouse responsibilities including receiving, storing, handling, and shipping. The transporter must conduct daily detailed vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is maintained properly and safe for operation.

The position is safety-sensitive. Therefore, candidates must be able to work in a constant state of awareness to uphold a safe working environment. Compliance with strict pre-employment drug testing is mandatory to meet federal transportation safety standards. The job requires strong proficiency with technology, specifically Android or iOS operating systems, and a valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record. Experience with commercial motor vehicles and the ability to manage tasks independently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in a team-oriented setting are critical.

Physically, the role demands agility and endurance, including frequent walking, bending, squatting, climbing, and kneeling, with the ability to lift objects weighing up to 75 pounds occasionally. Additionally, employees must adhere to safety protocols when visiting customer sites, which often involve exposure to environmental factors and potential hazards such as loud noise or moving machinery. Overall, this position offers an opportunity for a safety-conscious individual with a disciplined work ethic to contribute significantly to the reliable delivery of materials and excellent customer service in a dynamic logistics environment.
