Job Description

Bourne's Energy is a respected and community-focused company based in Milton, Vermont, with a longstanding commitment to safety, service, and teamwork. The company specializes in delivering petroleum products to residential and commercial customers, ensuring their homes and businesses stay fueled throughout the year. Known for its dedication to the community and a reputation built on trust and reliability, Bourne's Energy offers an exceptional workplace environment where employees are valued and supported. This company is committed to employee growth, providing opportunities for cross-training and career advancement while maintaining a strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

As a full-time, onsite Delivery Driver at Bourne’s Energy, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of the company by delivering petroleum products efficiently and safely. This position requires a strong focus on safety checks, adherence to federal and state regulations, and maintaining high standards for customer service. You will be responsible for conducting daily vehicle inspections, managing deliveries using established safety and productivity protocols, and professionally interacting with customers while respecting their property.

In addition to delivery duties, drivers are expected to communicate effectively with dispatchers and routing specialists, participate in team huddles, and maintain a professional appearance. The role also includes technical responsibilities such as using a Raven handheld device, priming furnaces, performing leak tests, and lighting pilots for customers who run out of fuel. Drivers will be part of an on-call rotation for nights and weekends, requiring flexibility and commitment.

The company expects its drivers to keep their delivery trucks organized and stocked with necessary tools and safety gear while supporting various departments through cross-training. This collaborative approach helps maintain smooth operations and builds a strong team environment. Bourne’s Energy values a dependable and customer-focused attitude, encouraging employees to uphold the company’s pledges and guarantees while helping customers stay warm and fueled year-round.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in diverse weather conditions, from extreme cold to heat. Drivers must be able to handle physical tasks such as pulling delivery hoses weighing up to 75 pounds repeatedly throughout the day and occasionally lifting heavier items. Bourne’s Energy provides a competitive pay structure with excellent benefits and opportunities for consistent year-round work, making it an attractive option for those looking to build a rewarding career in the energy delivery industry.
