The role of Delivery Driver is a vital component of the company's sales and service delivery operations. This full-time, non-exempt position reports directly to the Field Service Manager and operates primarily out of Midland, with frequent travel to San Antonio and other locations as needed. The salary for this position is based on experience, reflecting the company's flexible compensation approach. The Delivery Driver's responsibilities extend beyond simple transportation tasks; they involve setting up and removing office equipment, handling customer interactions with a service-oriented mindset, and completing necessary documentation accurately and promptly. The role also includes supporting field calls, such as network installations, toner deliveries, and parts transportation to technicians, further underlining the multi-faceted nature of the job.
Successful candidates for this role will showcase technical skills relevant to the handling and setup of office equipment, along with excellent communication abilities both verbally and in writing. The company values attention to detail, planning, and organizational skills; these are essential for managing deliveries, inventory stocking, and maintaining the warehouse in line with safety and quality standards. Teamwork is highly encouraged, with drivers expected to cooperate fully with colleagues to ensure seamless service. Physical capability is important as the job requires lifting and moving heavy items frequently. In addition, drivers must adhere strictly to safe driving rules and hold a clean driving record along with a valid driver’s license, ensuring the safety of all personnel and equipment in transit.
This position demands a reliable, customer-focused individual who is comfortable managing multiple tasks, performing equipment setup, and maintaining inventory accuracy. The ability to work independently while staying connected to the team through effective communication is key to thriving in this role. Beyond the essential tasks of delivery and equipment handling, the role offers opportunities to assist with inventory audits, vendor order management, and warranty administration processes. Candidates who possess experience in picking, packing, and shipping parts will find their skills particularly beneficial.
