With a workforce of approximately 18,000 associates, Airgas fosters a culture centered on safety, customer success, sustainability, and innovation. As a subsidiary of Air Liquide, which operates in 60 countries with roughly 66,500 employees worldwide, Airgas serves over 4 million customers and patients globally.
Airgas has established itself as the largest supplier of dry ice in the nation, operating a series of production plants across strategic locations to ensure a reliable and secure supply of dry ice. Their distribution branches provide critical service to key industries including universities, laboratories, and various businesses that depend on dry ice and cold shipping supplies. Their commitment to quality, reliability, and customer service has fueled ongoing growth and strengthened relationships with organizations relying on their products.
The role of Delivery Driver, CDL B based in Hayward, CA, offers an outstanding opportunity to join this leading company and contribute to its logistics operations. This position features competitive pay at $35.00 per hour with a Monday through Friday schedule from 4:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The busy delivery routes cover the Peninsula and East Bay areas, providing local drivers a chance to work within these dynamic communities.
In this critical role, you will be responsible for safely operating a commercial vehicle to deliver dry ice directly to customers’ businesses. The driver will manage the loading and unloading process using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment, while accurately documenting deliveries and collections of empty dry ice boxes. This position emphasizes customer service by ensuring satisfaction during delivery and communicating valuable feedback to the Branch Manager.
Compliance with Department of Transportation regulations, company safety policies, and proper cargo securing methods is essential in this role. Pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections are part of routine duties to uphold vehicle safety and maintenance standards, along with maintaining cleanliness within the truck.
Airgas provides an inclusive and diverse workplace culture that respects and values the unique backgrounds and perspectives of its employees, customers, and community. This commitment fosters innovation and strengthens teamwork by embracing differences that enhance company performance.
Employees at Airgas are provided with a comprehensive benefits package that begins after just 30 days of employment, supporting not only work-life balance but overall wellbeing. The benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and accidental death and dismemberment coverage, disability insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching, tuition assistance, paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave. New parents are also supported with up to 14 weeks of paid childbirth benefits, making Airgas a family-friendly employer.
Airgas is committed to equal employment opportunities without discrimination and offers reasonable accommodations for candidates with disabilities throughout the hiring process. Joining Airgas means becoming part of a team where your contributions matter and you have the chance to grow your career in a supportive, safety-focused environment. This role is perfect for dedicated CDL B drivers who want to deliver outstanding service in a demanding and rewarding logistics setting.
