We are currently seeking passionate and energetic Seasonal Deli/Food Service employees to join our team from May 1st through September 8th. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in high-volume, fast-paced environments and who enjoy engaging with people while providing exceptional food service. No prior experience is necessary, as Buc-ee’s is committed to training quick learners who are eager to develop culinary skills and excel in various food preparation stations. Seasonal hires will gain hands-on experience preparing a wide range of menu items that include BBQ, baked goods, sandwiches, tacos, jerky, fudge, and much more.

The role demands versatility and an upbeat attitude, as employees are expected to move efficiently between stations while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. Working safely and following strict health, safety, and sanitation guidelines are essential to ensure the highest quality food handling standards. Employees will utilize a variety of kitchen equipment such as slicers, ovens, mixers, knives, and fryers to prepare Buc-ee’s unique food offerings precisely according to company recipes while keeping confidentiality a priority.

In addition to food preparation, employees will interact with customers and team members, provide timely communication with management, and ensure that workstations remain clean and organized during busy periods. The role includes working weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts, requiring flexibility and a strong work ethic. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • restaurant or retail experience preferred
  • ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of 8 hours or more
  • frequent bending, stooping, crouching, climbing, reaching, balancing, pushing, pulling (e.g., product or material weighing 40 lbs or more)
  • ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
  • availability to work weekends and holidays
  • willingness to work rotating schedules including days and nights
  • regular and prompt attendance

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • restaurant or retail experience preferred
  • kitchen line cook experience a plus
  • busser, server, expediter, service staff experience a plus
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • willingness to learn and adapt to multiple food stations
  • basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation desirable

Job Duties

  • develop culinary skills as you prep bakery offerings, jerky, fudge, bbq, and other restaurant menu items
  • prepare Buc-ee's unique food service menu offerings to prescribed recipes and maintain confidentiality
  • adhere to all company culinary recipes and measurements
  • follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products
  • guarantee safe food handling
  • competent use of various menu ordering kiosks, kitchen management system, and transaction devices
  • maintain a clean workstation while quickly executing orders for customers
