Job Requirements
- Less than high school education or equivalent experience
- Six months or less of related work experience
- Ability to physically perform medium work involving lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Visual acuity including clarity of vision at distances over 20 inches and less than 20 feet
- Ability to perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Must be able to understand and follow instructions
- Must be able to perform basic arithmetic calculations
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school or equivalent experience

Job Duties
- Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service
- Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner
- Make an effort to learn customers' names and use them
- Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading/unloading heavy items, noting and passing along customer suggestions
- Answer the telephone promptly and take customer orders
- Take customer orders at the delicatessen counter
- Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- Review orders and food freshness
- Maintain sanitation procedures and cleanliness
- Prepare, finish, and replenish products
- Check in and put away products
- Run department registers and handle payments
- Remove trash in a timely manner
- Adhere to personal hygiene, dress guidelines, and company policies
- Report to work as scheduled and on time
