Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a high-volume deli, cafe, or sandwich shop
  • Ability to remain calm, organized, and efficient during busy periods
  • Basic English proficiency
  • Fluent Spanish preferred

  • Available for morning and mid-day shifts
  • Ability to work full-time or part-time

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a high-volume deli, cafe, or sandwich shop
  • Ability to stay calm, organized, and move fast during a heavy lunch rush
  • Basic English proficiency for taking customer orders
  • Fluent Spanish is a major plus for coordination between front and back-of-house teams
  • Strong attention to detail ensuring sandwiches are made with the right slice, spread, and temperature
  • Reliable, punctual, and a dedicated team player committed to a stable, long-term work environment

Job Duties

  • Build consistent, high-quality deli sandwiches such as Pastrami, Corned Beef, and Reuben with speed and accuracy
  • Handle daily food prep including slicing meats to exact specifications, preparing house-made salads, and portioning ingredients
  • Provide fast, professional, and friendly service to our Midtown lunchtime crowd
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation following all NYC Department of Health codes
  • Work closely with the Kitchen Lead to prep high-quality ingredients that serve both the deli and the upscale lounge menu
  • Demonstrate proper knife skills and ensure safety at all times during food preparation
  • Manage prep activities to stay ahead of rush periods ensuring no delays in service
