The role at PENN Entertainment centers around managing the Grab & Go outlet within one of its properties. This position holds significant responsibility for the overall direction, strategy, and operational success of the outlet. The individual will lead a team, focusing on delivering exceptional service and value to guests while maximizing profitability. As a key leadership role, the position involves strategic and operational planning relating to pricing, product quality, marketing, customer satisfaction, and employee development. The manager will be expected to develop business, financial, and capital expenditure plans aligned with the strategic goals of the property and respond flexibly to any changes in assumptions or market conditions.
Key responsibilities include designing menus, implementing rigorous inventory and cost control systems, and maintaining high standards for product quality and service. Strong leadership and excellent communication skills are essential, as this role demands the ability to motivate, train, and evaluate personnel to foster a culture consistent with the company's Better People philosophy. The ability to manage operational challenges effectively and work within a large organizational structure is critical. The role also requires adherence to all regulatory and policy guidelines, with a professional appearance and demeanor expected at all times.
The starting salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $75,000, depending on relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Job Requirements
- bachelor’s degree preferred
- five years progressive food & beverage management experience
- three years multi-unit operation management experience
- proficiency in Microsoft Excel Access and Word
- knowledge of food and beverage administration and cost control
- ability to train motivate and develop personnel
- strong communication and negotiation skills
- guest service orientation
- physical mobility and ability to perform manual tasks
- supervisory experience
Job Qualifications
- bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred
- five years progressive food & beverage management experience including three years directing a multi-unit operation
- proficiency in Microsoft applications including Excel Access and Word
- knowledge of all phases of food and beverage administration cost control and food and beverage services
- ability to train and motivate personnel
- delegation negotiation and diplomacy skills
- strong communication skills guest service orientation
- organizational development and personnel assessment skills
- knowledge of food cost and labor analysis related to hotel casino or comparable property
- physical ability to push pull carry and lift up to 25 lbs and perform duties involving bending twisting stooping crouching kneeling and balancing
