Job Requirements
- at least 18 years of age
- ability to operate manual and power slicers
- basic knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
- ability to provide excellent customer service
- capable of frequently lifting up to 30 pounds
- ability to stand and move on hard surfaces for extended periods
- willingness to work in temperature-controlled environments including freezers and coolers
- able to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- regular and predictable attendance
- willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- work experience in a deli department preferred
- prior experience operating manual and power slicers and scales preferred
- knowledge of deli products preferred
- at least 18 years of age
Job Duties
- provide high level of customer service to members
- answer questions and recommend deli items
- slice, package, and weigh deli products including cheeses and meats
- help members select the correct products
- prepare and package special orders and party trays
- receive and inspect deli shipments
- display, stock, rotate, and store deli products following food safety and product handling policies
- ensure all products are fresh and meet company quality standards
- clean and sanitize deli equipment and food surfaces
- operate deli equipment according to safety policies and procedures
- maintain deli cooler shelves and display cases
- ensure scale systems are working and items are weighed and priced accurately
- perform other duties as assigned including working in other departments
- maintain all club policies and procedures
- ensure regular, predictable, full attendance
