Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Comfortable working with the public and greeting, speaking with, and assisting customers
- Attention to detail, ensuring duties are completed correctly and on time
- High school diploma or GED
- Some previous deli or food service experience, highly preferred
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, twisting, lifting, bending, and reaching
- Occasional instances of pushing, pulling, and squatting
- Must be able to frequently lift 10-30 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds

Job Duties
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers promptly, answering questions, and assisting with purchases when the store is open
- Package, wrap, price, and merchandise Deli Department products
- Maintain product knowledge of deli case items including cold salads, dips, lunchmeats, cheeses, etc
- Properly date items, check dates on all products to ensure freshness, and properly rotate stock
- Maintain general sanitation practices, food safety practices, and food storage practices according to store and health department standards, including sweeping, mopping, cleaning surfaces, washing dishes, and more
- Prepare most cold salads, dips, and grab-n-go items, including pasta salads, potato salads, coleslaw, tuna salad, grab-n-go pizzas, lettuce salads, sandwiches, wraps, and dips
- Produce some cafe/grab-n-go entrees and party trays
- Safely and effectively operate equipment such as slicers, steamers, fryers, rotisserie ovens, combi-ovens, smokers, and knives
- Put away stock in areas such as the cooler, freezer, and dry stock shelves while rotating product and maintaining organized stock areas
- Perform other duties as assigned
