The role of the Deli Clerk is an integral position at Earth Fare, aimed at delivering exceptional customer service and providing quality food preparation across various departments including the deli, juice bar, pizza/sandwich section, and hot bar. Team Members are responsible for ensuring that customers receive knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive service that enhances their shopping experience. The Deli Clerk maintains the appearance and organization of the sales floor by adhering to merchandising guidelines, ensuring that signage and pricing are accurate. They also uphold strict standards of cleanliness and sanitation by keeping departments, workstations, storage, freezers, and coolers neat and hygienic.
This position is fast-paced and requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and standing throughout the workday. Candidates with previous food preparation or cooking experience in a restaurant, bakery, or catering environment are preferred, as are those with prior retail or customer-service experience. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous food preparation or cooking experience preferred
- Customer service experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and squat for extended periods
- Ability to push, pull, and maneuver heavy loads
- Ability to work in cold environments

Job Qualifications
- Previous experience with food preparation or cooking in restaurant, bakery, or catering environment preferred
