The role of the Deli Clerk at Earth Fare is pivotal in ensuring that customers receive exceptional service and quality food offerings. This full-time position involves preparing and serving food items across various sections including the deli, juice bar, pizza/sandwich counter, and hot bar. Experience in retail or customer service settings is also highly valued, as the position demands a customer-oriented mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere. Physical demands of the role include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform various movements such as bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, squatting, pushing, and pulling. Employees must be capable of standing for extended periods during their shifts.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and squat
- Ability to push, pull, and maneuver heavy loads
- Ability to stand for extended periods during the workday
- Flexibility to work in extreme cold environments
- Previous food preparation experience preferred
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience with food preparation and cooking in a restaurant, bakery or catering environment preferred
- Experience working in a retail and or customer service-oriented environment preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with focus on customer service
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Deliver exceptional customer service and prepare food in all areas including deli, juice bar, pizza/sandwich, and hot bar
- Maintain an attractive sales floor by implementing Earth Fare merchandising guidelines
- Verify proper signage and pricing of items in the department
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the department including fixtures, storage, workstations, freezers, and coolers
