Job Description
Our company is a well-established logistics and transportation enterprise specializing in touch freight delivery services across the southeastern United States. With a wide delivery network covering Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia, we operate a full-time distribution center that coordinates shipments Monday through Saturday. We pride ourselves on maintaining high standards for driver satisfaction and safety while offering competitive pay based on experience levels and mileage covered. This role especially suits seasoned drivers who are ready to handle back hauls and multiple stops, ensuring timely and efficient transport of goods. The role offers a balanced schedule that allows for home time restoration every weekend for those residing near the distribution center, supporting work-life balance for our drivers. Our commitment to new hires includes a structured training program lasting between one to four weeks, where trainees are compensated $200 per day. Additionally, paid vacation is available after the first year of employment, accompanied by a comprehensive suite of benefits aimed at supporting health, financial security, and personal development.
As a Full-Time Touch Freight Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods across a multi-state delivery network primarily within the Southeast region. The compensation structure ranges from $0.50 CPM for new drivers to $0.56 CPM for drivers with over three years of experience, supplemented by $145 unload pay per trailer and $35 per stop, with additional pay for back hauls based on mileage. The position requires handling touch freight, requiring exceptional care and attention to freight handling McDonald's style customer service experience might be beneficial here but not required. The driver schedule allows a 34-hour reset at home each weekend, with an alternating day off schedule providing sufficient rest and recuperation. Training is mandatory for all new hires regardless of prior experience to ensure compliance with company standards and safety regulations. The training will take place at equipment locations, requiring candidates to make their own travel arrangements. Overall, this opportunity is ideal for professional drivers seeking a stable route, competitive compensation, extensive benefits, and a company that values driver well-being and growth.
