Job Description
This hiring establishment is a transportation company specializing in dedicated account deliveries, specifically focusing on the delivery of all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) to various dealerships. With a strong emphasis on safety, reliability, and professionalism, this company has built a reputation for providing excellent service with a commitment to driver satisfaction and operational excellence. The company operates within the logistics and transportation industry and values experienced Class A drivers who are motivated to excel in a structured and rewarding environment. As a part of the team, drivers will have the opportunity to earn a competitive salary with generous incentives.
The role being offered is for Class A drivers who possess at least one year of Class A driving experience within the last five years, and a minimum of six months experience within the last 24 months. The drivers selected for this position will operate dedicated account runs, primarily delivering ATVs to dealerships. This role includes the physical responsibilities of loading, securement, and unloading of ATVs with a hands-on approach, such as setting up ramps at each dealership for offloading the vehicles. Drivers will also be expected to maintain the security of the cargo throughout the route and handle the equipment necessary to safely complete deliveries.
Compensation for this position is highly competitive, offering an annual salary range of $90,000 to $100,000, which reflects the high demand and specialized nature of the job. Drivers earn between $0.58 and $0.60 per mile driven, alongside a ranger fee of $75 per load and an additional securement fee of $12 for each ATV. Miles driven in this role are substantial, with top drivers averaging up to 2,770 miles per week and the fleet average hovering around 2,665 miles weekly.
Work schedules consist of 14 to 21 consecutive workdays followed by 3 to 4 days off, allowing for a balance between intensive work periods and well-deserved time off. Drivers are permitted to take their trucks home, adding convenience and flexibility to the role. An attractive sign-on bonus totaling $6,000 is provided, paid $1,000 after the first load and $2,500 both at the six-month and one-year milestones, rewarding commitment and performance.
In addition to competitive pay and bonuses, the company supports its drivers with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and paid time off which all begin on the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Drivers are also encouraged to participate in the company’s 401K plan from day one, enabling early investment in their retirement. The company is pet friendly, allowing drivers to bring pets onboard starting Day One, provided that the rider is 12 years or older, which adds a unique and attractive element to the job environment.
This opportunity is ideal for experienced Class A drivers looking for a stable and rewarding transportation position with a dedicated route and excellent benefits. The physical requirements of the job, such as strapping and unloading the ATVs, mean candidates must be prepared for a hands-on and physically demanding role. The company maintains high safety and professionalism standards, including strict guidelines on moving violations, drug testing, and criminal history, ensuring a safe work environment for all employees and clients.
Overall, this role offers a blend of competitive compensation, strong benefits, a supportive work environment, and the opportunity to drive dedicated routes with a reputable transportation company that values its drivers and their well-being.
