Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Hold a valid CDL-A license
- Meet state licensing and certification requirements
- Clean motor vehicle report for last three years
- Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
- Successfully pass road test
- Hold or obtain valid DOT health card
- Be able to physically lift products ranging from 10 to 90 pounds
- Ability to operate equipment such as two-wheeler and lift gate
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid CDL-A license
- Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
- Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attain or possess a current DOT health card or be able to secure a new one
- Ability to hand-lift and use equipment such as two-wheeler and lift gate to move and stack product cases/freight
Job Duties
- Perform all required safety checks including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation regulations
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- Immediately report all safety hazards and inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Perform count check of items and verify customer invoices of loaded products, complete all required paperwork accurately
- Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
- Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route schedule, unload products and transport items to designated storage areas
- Perform damage control checks, scan items, communicate with supervisor regarding order removals, verify deliveries with customer and obtain proper signatures
- Load customer returns onto trailer and secure trailer doors
- Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and secured
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns, complete necessary paperwork
- Complete daily record of hours of service and enter logs according to Federal DOT, state and company requirements
- Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock areas, keep trailers clear and clean
- Perform other related duties as assigned
