The Driver, Hourly CDL-A position at Core-Mark is a pivotal role responsible for the timely and safe transportation of food and food service products to customers across local, intrastate, interstate, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight routes. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Valid CDL-A license
- Meet state licensing or certification requirements where applicable
- Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- Pass drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Hold or able to obtain DOT Health Card
- Ability to hand-lift and use equipment to move product boxes up to 90 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- Must be 21+ years of age
- Valid CDL-A license
- Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
- Clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for the past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attain or have a valid current DOT Health Card or be able to secure a new DOT Health Card
- Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move and stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout the shift
Job Duties
- Performs all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Inspects tractor/truck and trailer to ensure compliance with company safety standards and reports safety issues or repairs needed
- Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- Immediately reports all safety hazards and inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Performs count check of items and verifies customer invoices for loaded products, completing required paperwork accurately
- Moves tractor to the loading dock and attaches preloaded trailer as needed
- Drives to and delivers customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule and unloads products into designated customer storage areas
