The company is currently seeking a dedicated Day Porter to join its team. The Day Porter plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of common areas in office buildings, apartment buildings, and other commercial or institutional facilities. This position involves performing various cleaning duties throughout the day to ensure the building environment is welcoming, safe, and well-maintained for tenants, visitors, and staff. The role demands attention to detail, reliability, and an ability to work independently while following management's guidance. Responsibilities include spot cleaning glass doors, polishing lobby door chrome, vacuuming elevator cabs, picking up exterior trash, cleaning ashtrays, maintaining restrooms, and general upkeep of interior and exterior building spaces.
Day Porters are vital to the smooth operation and positive image of the facilities served by CCS. This role requires regular inspections of building exteriors, removal of debris from landscaped areas, cleaning of stairwells, sweeping building entrances, and reporting any maintenance or safety issues such as burnt-out lights or the presence of solicitors to management. The position also involves assisting building engineers as needed to support daily maintenance tasks.

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Spot clean the lobby glass doors
- Polish chrome on lobby doors
- Vacuum elevator cabs and wipe cab doors, walls, and tops twice a day
- Inspect the building exterior and pick up any trash
- Clean ashtrays and sand urns on every floor
- Empty and clean exterior trash receptacles
- Check restrooms twice daily
- Vacuum lobby once a day or as needed
- Sweep stairwells and landings as needed
- Remove all debris from landscaped areas as needed
- Sweep building entrances
- Clean and remove smudges and marks on walls, doors, and wall covering
- Report any lights out (exit, directory boards, etc.) to the Management Office
- Report any solicitors to the Management Office
- Police lobby to keep floors and planters free of paper, debris, etc.
- Empty all trash receptacles
- Vacuum carpeted floors
- Dust mop lobby floors twice daily
- Polish elevator cab railings and doors and main lobby call buttons
- Assist building Engineer daily per Management discretion
