Job Requirements
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to identify and manage priorities
- Ability to complete the physical requirements of the job
- Day porter, janitor, or custodian experience preferred
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel
- Climb stairs
- Push, pull, reach over the shoulder
- Grasp and grip
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Job Qualifications
- Janitorial experience preferred
- Outstanding communication skills
- Punctual and dependable
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to meet physical requirements involving walking, climbing stairs, pushing, pulling, reaching over the shoulder, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
Job Duties
- Pick up trash as needed and empty trash receptacles
- Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning cobwebs, wiping down surfaces, restroom cleaning
- Clean exterior surfaces of windows, windowsills, and doors
- Remove and/or clean up debris such as stickers, chewing gum, coffee spills, graffiti
- Continuously walk the property to inspect all public areas for cleanliness
- Notify the supervisor in case there is a need for repairs
- Always wear appropriate safety equipment including gloves, goggles, safety vest
