The role of the Day Porter / Campus Services Specialist is a vital position within the team, designed to support the ongoing cleanliness and operational readiness of the campus. This role requires a hands-on approach to janitorial duties and general campus services, emphasizing direct involvement in maintaining all interior and exterior areas. The specialist will be responsible for cleaning restrooms, kitchens, breakrooms, offices, and common areas, while also managing sanitation of high-touch surfaces to promote a safe and hygienic environment.

In addition to janitorial tasks, this position supports event setups and teardowns, assisting with furniture arrangements, signage placement, and cleanup activities to ensure smooth execution of campus events. The Day Porter also plays an important role in campus operations by assisting with facilities projects, engineering tasks, and other property-related duties as assigned. Effective coordination with vendors and utilizing a digital task management system to handle work orders or employee requests are also critical aspects of the role.

The ideal candidate brings previous experience in janitorial, facilities, or operations roles, paired with strong customer service and communication skills. Being fluent in English and having the flexibility to work a 9-hour shift typically scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., including a 1-hour lunch break, are essential. The role may occasionally require availability for evening, weekend, or urgent work requests to meet the dynamic needs of the campus environment.

Physical capability is a must, as the role involves lifting, moving, and setting up furniture and equipment regularly. Attention to detail and organizational skills are vital to ensure the campus presentation meets the company's standards. Candidates must also be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver's license with reliable transportation, and successfully pass background, motor vehicle record, and drug screening checks.

Compensation for the Day Porter / Campus Services Specialist position is $19 per hour for a full-time schedule averaging 40 hours per week, with some opportunities for overtime.
