Job Description
CCS Facility Services is one of the largest building service contractors in the United States, with a strong reputation for delivering expert janitorial and facility engineering services to thousands of commercial businesses nationwide. The company prides itself on its deep bench of experienced cleaning and engineering professionals who are dedicated to excellence in every aspect of their work. CCS Facility Services operates with a guiding philosophy known as the Service Heart, which emphasizes a passionate commitment to exceeding customer expectations. This value-driven approach makes CCS not just a service provider, but a trusted partner for clients seeking the highest standards of facility maintenance and cleanliness.
As a large-scale building service contractor, CCS Facility Services covers a wide range of commercial facilities including office buildings, apartment complexes, and institutional establishments. Their comprehensive service offerings range from routine janitorial cleaning to specialized facility engineering services, all delivered with a customer-centric focus. CCS is dedicated to creating safe, welcoming, and pristine environments that enhance the operational efficiency and aesthetic appeal of every facility they manage.
The Day Porter role at CCS Facility Services is a vital position responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of common areas in office buildings, apartment houses, or other commercial or institutional settings. The primary objective of this role is to ensure that high-traffic areas remain clean, inviting, and well-maintained throughout the day. This includes tasks such as spot-cleaning lobby glass doors, polishing chrome fixtures, vacuuming elevator cabs, and inspecting building exteriors for trash. In addition, day porters manage the cleanliness of restrooms, empty exterior trash receptacles, sweep stairwells, and monitor landscaped areas for debris removal.
Day porters play a proactive role in identifying maintenance issues like lights out or the presence of solicitors and reporting these concerns to the management office in a timely manner. This position also involves assisting building engineers as needed, contributing to the overall operational smoothness of the facility. The job entails working in an environment that may expose employees to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, and moderate noise levels. Despite these challenges, CCS Facility Services emphasizes safety and security, requiring team members to follow strict procedures to protect themselves and building occupants.
Working at CCS Facility Services means joining a company that values its employees as its greatest asset. The company fosters a sense of community and encourages career growth through internal promotion and ongoing investment in employee development. For those who demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and a strong commitment to safety, CCS offers a fulfilling work environment where dedication is recognized and rewarded.
Located in Humble, TX, this Day Porter opportunity is perfect for individuals who take pride in their work and want to contribute to maintaining high standards in well-regarded commercial and residential properties. The role is essential for ensuring that buildings remain clean and orderly, which directly impacts tenant satisfaction and client retention. CCS Facility Services offers a workplace culture that supports collaboration, respect, and professionalism, making it an excellent employer for those seeking steady employment in the building services industry.
