Established in 1909, ABM has grown into one of the world's largest providers of comprehensive facility services and solutions. The company operates from over 350 offices worldwide, including locations in the United States, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, and other international regions. ABM’s diverse service portfolio spans janitorial, engineering, parking, electrical and lighting, energy and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, HVAC and mechanical services, landscaping and turf management, as well as mission-critical solutions. Serving over 20,000 clients from various industries—ranging from commercial office buildings and universities to airports, hospitals, data centers, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and entertainment venues—ABM has consistently been a driving force in maintaining and improving the environments that matter most. With annualized revenues nearing $8 billion and a workforce exceeding 100,000 team members, ABM’s reach and expertise are unparalleled in the facility services sector.

This role of Day Porter at ABM is an essential part of maintaining pristine, safe, and orderly environments across assigned facilities during daytime hours. The Day Porter is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning duties designed to uphold the hygiene and appearance of the workplace. Typical tasks include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing floors and surfaces to keep the environment tidy and welcoming. Restroom sanitation is an important duty, involving thorough cleaning, supply replenishment, and compliance with hygiene standards. Additional responsibilities are the emptying of trash and recycling bins in accordance with company policies and ensuring that windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces are spotless.

Proper maintenance and storage of cleaning equipment and supplies also fall under the Day Porter’s purview to ensure safety and efficiency. The role demands vigilance in spotting and reporting any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to supervisors, contributing to the ongoing safety and smooth operation of the facility.
