The current opening at SBM Management is for a Custodian/Customer Service Representative (CSR) role, a vital position that blends custodial responsibilities with customer service excellence. This full-time position offers competitive compensation, with an hourly wage ranging between $13.65 and $14.65, and operates on a daytime shift from Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Job Requirements

  • Reliable transportation

Job Qualifications

  • Less than high school education or up to one-month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read 2-3 syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
  • Ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers
  • Knowledge of basic arithmetic including adding and subtracting two-digit numbers, multiplying and dividing by 10s and 100s
  • Understanding of American measures of money, weight, size, length, shapes, distance, and volume measurements such as cups, pints, quarts, and gallons
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Valid driver’s license if driving own or company vehicle during business hours
  • Proof of vehicle registration and insurance if driving
  • Bilingual skills are a plus but not required

Job Duties

  • Floor care including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet spotting
  • Surface care such as dusting, sanitizing, cleaning glass, mirrors, windows, metal, wood polishing, cleaning blinds and draperies
  • Waste removal including emptying trash and recycle bins and transporting waste to proper disposal areas
  • Light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and restocking supply cabinets
  • Complying with safety rules, policies, and procedures and stopping at risk behavior
  • Following all company protocols, procedures, policies, and rules
  • Taking direction and responding to supervision
  • Using proper personal protective equipment
  • Presenting a professional appearance and conduct
  • Understanding reporting systems and the environment
  • Transporting small equipment, tools, chairs, and tables and straightening areas like lobbies and conference rooms
  • Cleaning drop-in desktops between events
  • Assisting janitorial staff with restocking restrooms and break rooms
  • Damp mopping floors and restroom cleaning
  • Glass cleaning and restocking janitorial supply closets and storage areas
  • Cleaning elevators
  • Spot cleaning upholstered furniture and carpets
  • Dusting open common spaces
