Job Requirements
- Reliable transportation
- Less than high school education or equivalent
- Ability to read 2-3 syllable words
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Knowledge of American measurement systems
- Valid driver’s license
- Proof of vehicle registration and insurance if driving
- Bilingual is a plus
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school education or up to one-month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read 2-3 syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
- Ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers
- Knowledge of basic arithmetic including adding and subtracting two-digit numbers, multiplying and dividing by 10s and 100s
- Understanding of American measures of money, weight, size, length, shapes, distance, and volume measurements such as cups, pints, quarts, and gallons
- Must have reliable transportation
- Valid driver’s license if driving own or company vehicle during business hours
- Proof of vehicle registration and insurance if driving
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not required
Job Duties
- Floor care including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet spotting
- Surface care such as dusting, sanitizing, cleaning glass, mirrors, windows, metal, wood polishing, cleaning blinds and draperies
- Waste removal including emptying trash and recycle bins and transporting waste to proper disposal areas
- Light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and restocking supply cabinets
- Complying with safety rules, policies, and procedures and stopping at risk behavior
- Following all company protocols, procedures, policies, and rules
- Taking direction and responding to supervision
- Using proper personal protective equipment
- Presenting a professional appearance and conduct
- Understanding reporting systems and the environment
- Transporting small equipment, tools, chairs, and tables and straightening areas like lobbies and conference rooms
- Cleaning drop-in desktops between events
- Assisting janitorial staff with restocking restrooms and break rooms
- Damp mopping floors and restroom cleaning
- Glass cleaning and restocking janitorial supply closets and storage areas
- Cleaning elevators
- Spot cleaning upholstered furniture and carpets
- Dusting open common spaces
