The Custodian/CSR position with SBM Management is a pivotal role designed for individuals who thrive in a team-oriented environment and possess strong customer service skills. This role combines custodial duties with direct customer service responsibilities, ensuring that the premises managed by SBM are not only meticulously maintained but also that clients and visitors receive exceptional service and support. The role requires a candidate who can follow detailed instructions, adapt to various tasks, and communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers alike. Responsibilities include floor care such as vacuuming and mopping, surface cleaning and sanitization, waste removal, light maintenance tasks, and ensuring overall safety compliance. Custodians must also assist in training others and be proactive in maintaining a clean and safe environment. This position demands good judgment, the ability to communicate basic instructions, and a professional demeanor at all times.
This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $16.50 to $17.00, with work hours scheduled from Monday through Friday, 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM. SBM Management values reliability and professionalism, as evidenced by the requirements for valid driver’s licenses and proof of vehicle registration and insurance for those who may operate company or personal vehicles during work hours. While bilingual abilities are advantageous, they are not mandatory. Job Requirements
- Reliable transportation
- Less than high school education or up to one-month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read two to three syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers
- Ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, managers, and customers
- Knowledge of basic math operations including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
- Knowledge of American measures of money, weight, size, length, and volume
- Valid driver’s license with proof of vehicle registration and insurance if driving
- Bilingual skills preferred but not mandatory
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Perform floor care including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet spotting
- Conduct surface care such as dusting, sanitizing, and cleaning glass, mirrors, and windows
- Remove waste and transport trash and recyclables to disposal areas
- Complete light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and restocking supplies
- Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
- Follow company protocols, policies, and direction from supervisors
- Use proper personal protective equipment and present a professional appearance
