Job Description

SBM Management Services, LP is a prominent company known for its dedication to quality services and its commitment to fostering a positive work environment for its employees. As a growing business, SBM Management prides itself on innovative employee programs, strong supportive management, and extensive opportunities for career advancement, making it an attractive place to build a long-term career. The company values teamwork, integrity, and compassion, and these core principles guide how employees are treated and supported in their professional and personal growth. Thanks to these values and the positive culture, SBM Management enjoys an employee turnover rate that is just one-fourth of the national average, underscoring its reputation as a stable and rewarding employer.

Currently, SBM Management is seeking a dedicated and dependable Custodian/Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join its team immediately. This role is essential for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the facilities while also ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and strong team collaboration. The position is full-time, with daytime hours from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, and offers competitive compensation in the range of $17.00 to $18.00 per hour.

The Custodian/CSR role is multifaceted and requires an individual who is not only skilled in custodial tasks but also someone who excels in customer service and teamwork. The candidate will be expected to undertake a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties, including floor care such as vacuuming, mopping, and carpet spot cleaning, as well as surface care duties like dusting, sanitizing, cleaning glass and mirrors, and polishing metal and wood surfaces. This position also involves managing waste removal by emptying trash and recycling bins and transporting waste safely to disposal areas.

In addition to custodial duties, the role demands attention to light maintenance tasks—such as replacing light bulbs and restocking supply cabinets—and a strict adherence to company safety protocols and personal protective equipment usage. The Custodian/CSR must present a professional appearance and conduct at all times while demonstrating good judgment and decision-making skills. They will be expected to communicate clearly with co-workers, supervisors, and customers using both oral and written instructions, and may also assist in training fellow team members by demonstrating work processes.

The work environment is dynamic, requiring flexibility to assist with cleaning during and in-between events, restock restrooms and break rooms, spot clean upholstered furniture and carpets, dust common areas, and clean elevators. This will require reliable transportation, as some tasks may involve moving small equipment, tools, chairs, and tables around different areas. The job is well-suited for individuals who are reliable, possess strong communication skills, and who enjoy contributing to a clean, welcoming, and well-maintained environment.

SBM Management is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity, including consideration regardless of race, sex, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, veteran status, or any other legally protected category. The role offers a platform for employees who want to grow and be rewarded fairly for their contributions in a supportive and respectful workplace.
