Job Requirements
- less than high school education or equivalent combination of education and experience
- must have reliable transportation
- ability to communicate effectively with others
- valid driver’s license if operating a vehicle on company business with proof of registration and insurance
- able to follow oral and written instructions
- ability to work collaboratively with team members
- physical ability to perform custodial duties
- willingness to maintain a professional appearance and conduct
Job Qualifications
- must have reliable transportation
- less than high school education or up to one month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to read two to three syllable words recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
- ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
- ability to communicate effectively with co workers supervisors managers and customers
- know how to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds
- know the American measures of money weight size length shapes distance and measures such as cups pints quarts gallons
- required to have a valid driver’s license if driving own or company vehicle on business time with proof of vehicle registration and insurance
- bilingual is a plus not required
Job Duties
- floor care including vacuuming mopping and carpet spotting
- surface care such as dusting sanitizing glass mirror and window cleaning metal wood polishing cleaning blinds and draperies
- waste removal including emptying trash and recycling bins transporting trash and waste to proper disposal areas
- perform light maintenance such as replacing light bulbs and restocking supply cabinet or room
- comply with safety rules policies and procedures to stop at risk behavior of self and others
- follow all company protocols procedures policies and rules
- take direction and respond to supervision
- use proper personal protective equipment
- present a professional appearance and conduct
- understand reporting systems and environment
- transport small equipment tools chairs and tables straighten areas including lobbies and conference rooms
- pick up trash recycling and compost bins and transport to proper disposal areas
- assist janitorial staff with restocking restrooms and break rooms
- clean elevators and spot clean upholstered furniture and carpets
- dust open common spaces
