Job Description
SBM Management is a reputable property management company known for its commitment to excellence and growth. With a focus on providing top-notch management services, SBM Management has built a strong reputation for integrity, teamwork, and compassion within the property management sector. As the company continues to expand, SBM Management is dedicated to fostering a work environment that supports professional and personal growth, ensuring employees are rewarded for their efforts and motivated to succeed. The company’s low turnover rate, which is one-fourth the national average, reflects its commitment to employee satisfaction and career development. SBM Management invites hardworking, dependable individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional service to join their team and contribute to the company's ongoing success.
SBM Management is currently seeking a Custodian/Customer Service Representative (CSR) who will play a key role in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments for clients and visitors. This is an immediate opening, offering a competitive wage of $18.00 to $19.00 per hour with shifts available from Saturday to Wednesday or Thursday to Monday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. The role of Custodian/CSR is designed for individuals who possess strong customer service skills and the ability to work effectively with team members. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to follow explicit instructions, and good judgment in decision-making. As a frontline representative, the CSR must communicate clearly with coworkers and customers, aid in training new staff, and demonstrate job-related processes.
The duties range from floor and surface care to waste removal, light maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety policies. Custodial tasks include vacuuming, mopping, carpet spotting, dusting, sanitizing, cleaning glass and mirrors, polishing metal and wood surfaces, and managing blinds and draperies. Additional responsibilities involve emptying trash and recycling bins, transporting waste to disposal areas, restocking supplies, and light maintenance such as replacing light bulbs. CSR functions emphasize professionalism, teamwork, and adherence to company protocols while maintaining a safe working environment using proper personal protective equipment.
In between events, custodians assist janitorial staff by maintaining restrooms and break rooms, damp mopping floors, cleaning glass surfaces, organizing supply closets, and spot cleaning upholstery and carpets. The role also includes moving small equipment and furniture, supporting event setup and cleanup, and keeping public spaces orderly. The ideal candidate is dependable, cooperative, able to handle physical tasks, and capable of communicating effectively across all levels within the organization. Reliability, a willingness to learn, and a customer-oriented mindset are essential qualities for success in this role.
SBM Management values diversity and is an equal opportunity employer that does not discriminate based on race, sex, color, ancestry, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, citizenship, age, marital status, disability, gender identity, veteran status, or any other legally protected status. The company supports its employees through innovative programs and a supportive management structure that encourages career advancement, making it a great place to work. This position is ideal for those seeking a stable job with opportunities for growth within a respected company dedicated to employee well-being and operational excellence.
