This role requires individuals who can successfully collaborate with team members and effectively communicate with both co-workers and customers, ensuring that every environment managed by SBM is maintained to the highest standards. Employees are expected to follow explicit oral and written instructions, make sound judgments in daily tasks, and demonstrate or train others on work processes when needed.
The Custodian/CSR responsibilities encompass a wide range of duties, including floor care such as vacuuming, mopping, and spot cleaning carpets; surface care involving dusting, sanitizing, glass and window cleaning, polishing metal and wood surfaces, and maintaining blinds and draperies. Waste removal is a vital part of the job, requiring the emptying of trash and recycling bins and responsible transport of waste to designated disposal areas. Light maintenance duties include replacing light bulbs and restocking supply cabinets, supporting the overall facility upkeep.
Working at SBM Management means adhering to safety protocols, company policies, and rules, with a strong focus on preventing risky behaviors and maintaining a safe working environment for oneself and others. The role also involves using proper personal protective equipment, presenting a professional appearance and conduct, and understanding the company's reporting systems. Between events, custodians will assist with cleaning desktops, restocking restrooms and break rooms, mopping floors, cleaning glass, and dusting open common areas. Tasks also include cleaning elevators, spot cleaning upholstered furniture and carpets, and organizing janitorial supplies.
This position offers a competitive compensation rate of $15.50 to $16.50 per hour and operates on a Monday to Friday shift from 4:00 am to 12:30 pm.
