We are currently seeking a dedicated Custodian/Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our dynamic team. The role calls for individuals who are dependable, hardworking, and possess strong customer service skills, capable of engaging positively with both customers and coworkers. As a Custodian/CSR at SBM Management, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of assigned areas, performing floor care tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, and carpet spotting, and handling surface care including dusting, sanitizing, and polishing various surfaces.
The role further involves waste management duties such as emptying trash and recycling bins and transporting waste to disposal areas, performing light maintenance tasks, and ensuring compliance with all safety rules, policies, and procedures. The Custodian/CSR must be attentive to risk behaviors, follow company protocols, use proper personal protective equipment, and present a professional demeanor at all times. Additional responsibilities include assisting with event setup and cleanup, restocking janitorial supplies, cleaning restrooms and break rooms, and maintaining general order in common areas. SBM Management values employees who can follow both oral and written instructions accurately, communicate effectively, and exhibit good judgment and decision-making abilities. This position provides a work schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with competitive compensation ranging from $15.00 to $16.00 per hour. Job Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have less than high school education or up to one-month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read 2-3 syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
- Ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers
- Know how to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
- Knowledge of American measures of money, weight, size, length, shapes, distance and such measures as cups, pints, quarts, gallons
- Valid driver’s license if driving own or company vehicle on business time
- Proof of vehicle registration and insurance
- Bilingual is a plus but not required

Job Duties
- Floor care (vacuuming, mopping, carpet spotting)
- Surface care (dusting, sanitizing, cleaning glass/mirrors/windows, polishing metal/wood, cleaning blinds and draperies)
- Waste removal (empty trash and recycle bins, transport trash and waste to proper disposal areas)
- Light maintenance (replace light bulbs, restock supply cabinet/room)
- Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
- Take direction and respond to supervision
- Use proper personal protective equipment
