The Custodian/Customer Service Representative (CSR) role at SBM Management offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who take pride in maintaining clean and welcoming environments while delivering top-notch customer service. This position requires candidates who possess strong teamwork capabilities and excellent communication skills, as the role involves interacting with coworkers and customers alike. The Custodian/CSR will be responsible for a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks, including floor care, surface care, waste removal, light maintenance, and adherence to strict safety protocols. Beyond physical responsibilities, the role demands good judgment for decision-making, the ability to explain work methods, and sometimes aid in training other team members. The position is designed for individuals who can follow oral and written instructions meticulously and maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times. The role operates during the standard daytime shift from Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., allowing for a consistent work schedule.

Job Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation
- Less than high school education or up to one-month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read 2-3 syllable words, recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
- Ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers
- Must know how to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
- Must know American measures of money, weight, size, length, shapes, and distance
- Required to have a valid driver’s license if driving own or company vehicle on business time, also proof of vehicle registration and insurance
- Bilingual is a plus, not required

Job Duties
- Floor care including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet spotting
- Surface care including dusting, sanitizing, cleaning glass, mirrors, windows, polishing metal and wood, cleaning blinds and draperies
- Waste removal including emptying trash and recycling bins and transporting waste to proper disposal areas
- Light maintenance including replacing light bulbs and restocking supply cabinets
- Complying with safety rules, policies, and procedures
- Taking direction and responding to supervision
- Using proper personal protective equipment
- Presenting a professional appearance and conduct
- Transporting small equipment, tools, chairs, and tables and straightening areas such as lobbies and conference rooms
- Cleaning drop-in desktops between events
- Assisting janitorial staff with restroom and break room upkeep
- Cleaning elevators, spot cleaning upholstered furniture and carpets, and dusting open common spaces
