The Custodian/CSR role at SBM Management is integral to the company’s operational success and client satisfaction. This position calls for a dependable and hardworking individual who excels in both custodial duties and customer service. The role involves a combination of cleaning tasks such as floor care, surface sanitization, waste removal, and light maintenance, alongside customer service responsibilities that require effective communication and teamwork. The Custodian/CSR is responsible for following detailed instructions, demonstrating excellent judgment in decision-making processes, and effectively exchanging job-related information with coworkers, supervisors, and customers. Candidates for this position must be able to work harmoniously with team members and present themselves in a professional manner at all times. Additionally, this role demands a proactive approach to safety, compliance with company policies, and the use of personal protective equipment to maintain a secure work environment. The position is a full-time commitment from Monday through Friday, working the early morning shift from 4:00 am to 12:30 pm. Successful candidates will have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license if driving is involved. Being bilingual is considered a plus but is not mandatory. Job Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation
- less than high school education or up to one-month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to read 2-3 syllable words, recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
- ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
- ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers
- know how to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
- know American measures of money, weight, size, length, shapes, distance, and measures such as cups, pints, quarts, gallons
- required to have a valid driver’s license if driving own vehicle or company vehicle on business time, with proof of vehicle registration and insurance
- bilingual is a plus, not required

Job Duties
- Floor care (vacuuming, mopping, carpet spotting)
- surface care (dusting, sanitizing, glass/mirror/window cleaning, metal/wood polishing, clean blinds and draperies)
- waste removal (empty trash and recycle bins, transport trash and waste to proper disposal areas)
- light maintenance (replace light bulbs, restock supply cabinet/room)
- comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
- follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
- take direction and respond to supervision
- use proper personal protective equipment
- present a professional appearance and conduct
- understand reporting systems and environment
- transport small equipment, tools, chairs, and tables, straighten areas such as lobbies and conference rooms
- clean drop-in desktops
- assist janitorial staff with restocking restrooms and break rooms
- damp mop floors
- restroom cleaning
- glass cleaning
- restock and organize janitorial supplies and storage areas
- clean elevators
- spot clean upholstered furniture and carpets
- dust open common spaces
