Job Requirements

Must have reliable transportation
less than high school education or up to one-month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
ability to read 2-3 syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers
ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
knowledge of American measures of money, weight, size, length, shapes, distance, and liquid measures such as cups, pints, quarts, and gallons
required to have a valid driver’s license if driving own or company vehicle and proof of vehicle registration and insurance
bilingual is a plus, not required

Job Duties

Floor care such as vacuuming, mopping, and carpet spotting
surface care including dusting, sanitizing, glass, mirror, and window cleaning, metal and wood polishing, cleaning blinds and draperies
waste removal including emptying trash and recycle bins and transporting trash to proper disposal areas
light maintenance such as replacing light bulbs and restocking supply cabinets and rooms
complying with safety rules, policies, and procedures and stopping at-risk behavior
following all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
taking direction and responding to supervision
using proper personal protective equipment
presenting a professional appearance and conduct
understanding reporting systems and environmental awareness
transporting small equipment, tools, chairs, and tables, straightening areas such as lobbies and conference rooms
cleaning desktops between events
assisting janitorial staff with restocking restrooms and break rooms
damp mopping floors and cleaning restrooms
cleaning glass surfaces and elevators
spot cleaning upholstered furniture and carpets
dusting open common spaces
