Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- some related experience in cleaning or custodial work
- basic understanding of cleaning agent safety
- physical ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- ability to work in varying weather conditions
- reliable and punctual
- able to follow instructions
- willingness to work evening or weekend shifts on call
- knowledge of safety protocols
- able to use cleaning equipment and chemical products safely
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or completion of trade, technical, or vocational school
- some related cleaning and custodial experience preferred
- basic mechanical knowledge
- knowledge of safe use of cleaning agents and equipment
- ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- strong observation and organizational skills
- effective communication and teamwork ability
- willingness to work evenings or weekends when on call in emergencies
- practice necessary safety protocols and procedures
- ability to carry out and complete work orders
Job Duties
- Daily interior cleaning of the building including emptying waste receptacles, debris and trash removal, vacuuming/shampooing floors and carpets, dusting and cleaning furniture, cleaning and restocking restrooms, washing walls, polishing, mopping floors, placing down mats/runners in inclement weather, cleaning up spills, cleaning windows and window coverings, performing exterior building and premises cleaning and basic maintenance including exterior walls and windows, parking lots and structures, walkways and paths, gardens and lawns, outdoor furnishings, pools/fountains/spas, curbs/gutters, exterior hallways and stairwells, assisting with minor maintenance and repair work such as painting, replacement of light bulbs and fixtures, replacement of windows, moving furniture and equipment, repairing doors and gates, minor landscaping and related upkeep and repairs, simple plumbing and fixture repairs/replacements, other assigned duties such as gardening and lawn care, assisting with inventory control and supply ordering, snow removal including salting/sanding, assisting with tenant moves, promptly notifying management of spills and emergency situations or repair needs, properly and safely using and operating related equipment, tools, devices, and chemical/cleaning agents
