Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • no experience required as on-the-job training is provided
  • no high school diploma, GED, or college degree required
  • ability to work Monday to Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
  • able to perform physical tasks required for cleaning and maintenance
  • willingness to comply with safety and quality standards

Job Qualifications

  • Prior customer service experience preferred
  • one year of prior similar work experience preferred
  • ability to follow instructions and safety protocols
  • good communication skills
  • physical ability to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks
  • conscientious and reliable work ethic

Job Duties

  • Clean and maintain assigned area including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, office, and stairways
  • sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors in designated areas
  • regularly check and empty trash receptacles
  • follow procedures for use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage
  • notify lead cleaner or manager for repairs or building system needs
  • establish and maintain effective communication with clients, co-workers, and supervisors
  • collect, consolidate, and separate recycling into proper receptacles
  • clean and dust desks, chairs, tables, furniture, fixtures, doors, sills, floors, ceilings, and walls
  • polish hard surfaces such as woodwork and stainless steel
  • wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas
  • move furniture and equipment to clean areas manually or by hand trucks
  • clean interior glass, windows, partitions, and mirrors
  • sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow, and perform seasonal tasks
  • maintain cleanliness and polish restrooms
  • comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures
