Job Requirements

  • must have reliable transportation
  • less than high school education or up to one-month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • able to read basic words and numbers
  • able to print clearly and speak simple sentences
  • able to communicate effectively with co-workers and customers
  • basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • knowledge of American standard measurements
  • valid driver's license for driving purposes
  • proof of vehicle registration and insurance if driving own vehicle
  • ability to follow safety rules and protocols
  • capable of using personal protective equipment
  • available to work Monday through Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

  • ability to read 2-3 syllable words
  • recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
  • ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
  • ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers
  • know how to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds
  • know the American measures of money, weight, size, length, shapes, distance, and standard measures such as cups, pints, quarts, gallons
  • required to have a valid driver's license if driving own or company vehicle on business time
  • must have proof of vehicle registration and insurance if driving
  • bilingual is a plus but not required

Job Duties

  • floor care including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet spotting
  • surface care such as dusting, sanitizing, glass, mirror, and window cleaning, metal and wood polishing, cleaning blinds and draperies
  • waste removal including emptying trash and recycle bins and transporting waste to proper disposal areas
  • light maintenance including replacing light bulbs and restocking supply cabinet and room
  • comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures and stop at-risk behavior
  • follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
  • take direction and respond to supervision
  • use proper personal protective equipment
  • present a professional appearance and conduct
  • understand reporting systems and the work environment
  • transport small equipment, tools, chairs, and tables
  • straighten areas such as lobbies and conference rooms
  • clean drop-in desktops in between events
  • assist janitorial staff with restocking restrooms and break rooms
  • damp mop floors
  • clean elevators
  • spot clean upholstered furniture and carpets
  • dust open common spaces
