Job Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Reliable transportation
  • Less than high school education or equivalent experience
  • Ability to read and comprehend basic words and numbers
  • Ability to print clearly and speak simply
  • Effective communication skills
  • Basic arithmetic skills
  • Knowledge of standard American measures
  • Valid driver's license with registration and insurance if driving
  • Bilingual a plus

Job Qualifications

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Less than high school education or up to one-month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read 2-3 syllable words, recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
  • Ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers
  • Know how to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
  • Know the American measures of money, weight, size, length, shapes, distance and measures such as cups, pints, quarts, gallons, etc.
  • Required to have a valid driver's license if driving own vehicle or company vehicle on business time with proof of vehicle registration and insurance
  • Bilingual is a plus, not required

Job Duties

  • Floor care (vacuuming, mopping, carpet spotting)
  • Surface care (dusting, sanitizing, glass/mirror/window cleaning, metal/wood polishing, clean blinds and draperies)
  • Waste removal (empty trash and recycle bins, transport trash and waste to proper disposal areas)
  • Light maintenance (replace light bulbs, restock supply cabinet/room)
  • Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
  • Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
  • Take direction and respond to supervision
  • Use proper personal protective equipment
  • Present a professional appearance and conduct
  • Understand reporting systems and environment
  • Transport small equipment, tools, chairs, and tables
  • Straighten areas such as lobbies and conference rooms
  • Pick up trash, recycling, and compost bins and transport to proper disposal areas
  • Light vacuuming, dusting, restocking supplies
  • Clean drop in desktops between events
  • Assist janitorial staff with restocking restrooms and break rooms
  • Damp mop floors
  • Restroom cleaning
  • Glass cleaning
  • Restock and organize supplies in janitorial closets and storage areas
  • Clean elevators
  • Spot clean upholstered furniture and carpets
  • Dust open common spaces
