Job Requirements
- Can physically stand/walk 100 percent of shift
- Can reach, bend, stoop
- Can immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs several times per shift
- Lift these heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers
- Work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
- Work safely with sharp knives and utensils
Job Qualifications
- Ability to speak, read and write English
- Complete and pass food safety certification program in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
- Support fellow employees as needed
- Ability to work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors
- Ability to work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
- Ability to work safely with sharp knives and utensils
Job Duties
- Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
- Washes and provides clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan’s sanitation policies
- Cleans and sanitizes throughout shift
- Maintain kitchen area cleanliness
- sweeps, mops, removes debris from floor, etc
- Perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, beautification duties
- Prepares and maintains dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing
