The role available is for a Data Entry Operator II based at Fort Hood, Texas within the Central Issue Facility (CIF). This is a full-time, non-exempt position working day shifts with an hourly wage of $17.75. Tessera offers this position a robust compensation and benefits package designed to support employee well-being and professional growth. Some of the key benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, life and short-term disability insurance, a $4.93 per hour health and welfare benefit, flexible spending accounts, paid federal holidays, vacation and sick leave accrual, tuition assistance after one year, tuition scholarships for qualified dependents, professional development and training opportunities, and various employee discounts and support programs.
The Data Entry Operator II is expected to be a motivated and hard-working individual with a positive, can-do, and helpful attitude. The position involves detailed administrative tasks related to the processing and management of clothing records. Responsibilities include accurately entering and updating records in the computer system, printing necessary documentation, assisting customers by greeting and answering routine questions, handling the physical retrieval and transportation of records (requiring walking distances up to 1000 feet round trip), and maintaining filing systems alphabetically and chronologically. The role requires attention to detail when inspecting clothing records for accuracy, involvement in monthly inventory activities, and the input of relevant data into CIF-ISM for report generation such as laundry tickets.
In addition to clerical duties, the Data Entry Operator II plays a key role in supporting customer service functions by answering phones, recording messages, and providing efficient and effective assistance to customers. The operator also supports financial activities through handling adjustment documents related to cash collections and statements of charge. Physical demands of the role include the ability to lift or move up to 35 pounds, stand or sit for extended periods, and perform repetitive motions such as reaching, kneeling, and walking, with accommodations provided where applicable to individuals with disabilities.
Tessera emphasizes its commitment to inclusion and accessibility by encouraging individuals with disabilities to apply and offers support throughout the recruitment process. Candidates may require a valid state driver’s license, the ability to obtain and maintain security clearances and installation access, and to undergo a background check and E-Verify process. Access to the military installation requires compliance with REAL ID regulations, including possession of a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or acceptable alternative identification such as a U.S. passport or military ID.
Submitting an application for this role can be accomplished via Tessera’s official website or through internal employee portals for current employees. Tessera's engaging wellness programs, professional development opportunities, and a culture that values integrity and partnership make it an excellent employer for individuals seeking meaningful work in a supportive environment dedicated to making a difference in the lives of people with disabilities.
