The role of Technology Manager within AWS Data Center Operations is a critical leadership position tasked with managing and driving the next level of cloud infrastructure performance on a global scale. The successful candidate will primarily manage teams responsible for maintaining data center operations and cloud infrastructure, overseeing hardware and network diagnostics, repairs, and physical maintenance activities. This role demands a combination of strong people management expertise, a solid technical foundation, and a visionary approach to strategy development and implementation. The manager will be responsible for creating career paths, mentoring team members at various levels, sponsoring projects, and proposing innovative technical solutions to continuously improve operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities include prioritizing and assigning workflow tickets to data center technicians, managing diverse teams across multiple locations, ensuring staffing and shift arrangements, and overseeing hardware logistics. The manager will serve as the subject matter expert and call leader during large-scale events or outages, ensuring timely resolutions and minimal disruptions. A significant part of the role involves managing performance metrics and KPIs, fostering improvements in team processes through technology innovation and automation, and recommending policies aligned with industry best practices and service level agreements (SLAs). This opportunity comes with a competitive base salary range of $78,400 to $137,300 USD annually, along with sign-on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401(k) plans, paid time off, and parental leave.
