FedEx Logistics is a prominent player in the global transportation and logistics industry, well-known for providing comprehensive freight forwarding and customs brokerage services. As a part of FedEx Corporation, FedEx Logistics specializes in offering a wide variety of solutions that help businesses of all sizes navigate the complexities of international shipping. The company excels in international ocean and air freight forwarding, surface transportation, distribution services, customs brokerage, and trade advisory, complemented by cutting-edge e-commerce and trade facilitation technologies. This global presence and advanced service portfolio enable FedEx Logistics to connect markets around the world with streamlined, efficient transport and supply chain solutions. Emphasizing customer service and compliance, FedEx Logistics maintains a strong reputation for reliability and innovation within the sector. They provide numerous opportunities for career development in a dynamic, inclusive, and supportive work environment, including paid training and competitive compensation packages.

The role under consideration is for a Customs Documentation Coordinator, a critical position tasked with facilitating the smooth entry of goods into the United States through effective coordination and compliance with U.S. Customs and Government Agencies regulations. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring that all necessary documentation required for clearance is accurately prepared, maintained, and processed on behalf of importers. Responsibilities include obtaining the correct classification of goods using various resources such as classification databases, tariff books, standard operating procedures, and government portals. The coordinator is also responsible for meticulous data entry and managing import shipment documentation, including handling Participating Government Agencies (PGA) requirements and ensuring full regulatory compliance with international importing and exporting laws.

Customer service excellence is emphasized since the role involves extensive interaction with internal departments, various FedEx operations, customers, carriers, brokers, and government agencies to resolve issues, clarify shipment details, and ensure timely processing. Candidates must demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to handle a high volume of time-sensitive tasks independently while utilizing multiple software systems and applications such as MS Office and email platforms concurrently. This is a remote, part-time position scheduled Tuesday through Saturday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM AKST, with location constraints requiring a radius within 50 miles. Pay ranges from $17.08 to $27.06 per hour depending on experience and other relevant factors.

The position offers paid training, making it accessible to candidates without prior industry experience, though at least six months of work experience and keyboard/data entry proficiency are preferred. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, along with problem-solving capabilities and interpersonal effectiveness, are key competencies. FedEx Logistics also provides comprehensive benefits such as health, vision, dental insurance, retirement plans, and tuition reimbursement, underscoring their commitment to employee well-being and professional growth. Overall, the role is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to build a career in global logistics and customs brokerage in a respected and growth-oriented company environment.
