Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • No prior industry experience required
  • Minimum six months work experience preferred
  • Data entry and keyboard experience required
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Outlook
  • Experience with office equipment such as phone, fax, photocopier, printer, and scanner
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle high volume of work
  • Ability to handle time-sensitive tasks
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Ability to use multiple systems and reference materials
  • Interact with customers, carriers, brokers, government agencies, internal staff, and management of all levels
  • Must reside within 50 miles of Los Angeles, CA for hybrid work arrangement

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Coordinate documentation required by U.S. Customs and government agencies for entry of goods into the U.S.
  • Provide impeccable customer service
  • Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release from various authoritative sources
  • Enter data and process import-related documentation for submission to U.S. Customs and participating government agencies
  • Maintain and keep shipment documentation current and compliant with record-keeping requirements
  • Adhere to all international importing and exporting regulations
  • Work closely with internal staff, departments, other FedEx operations, and customers to deliver high service levels
  • Process agency brokerage shipments
  • Handle remote filings as needed
  • Ensure compliance with government and organizational policies
