Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • data entry and keyboard experience required
  • proficiency with MS Office, Outlook, and office equipment required

  • must interact effectively with customers, carriers, brokers, government agencies, internal staff, management, and departments
  • must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays
  • must live within 50 miles of Los Angeles, CA
  • must be able to work 1st shift starting between 5:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum of 6 months work experience preferred

  • proficiency with MS Office and Outlook
  • data entry and keyboard experience
  • experience with office equipment such as phone, fax, photocopier, printer, and scanner

Job Duties

  • Coordinate documentation required by US Customs and government agencies for entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers
  • provide impeccable customer service
  • obtain correct classification of goods for customs release using databases, SOPs, tariff books, Internet, or customs guidance
  • perform data entry and processing of various import-related documentation for submission to US Customs and handle all participating government agencies (PGAs)
  • maintain and keep current all shipment documentation in compliance with record-keeping requirements
  • adhere to all international importing and exporting regulations
  • work closely with internal staff, departments, other FedEx operations, and customers to deliver a high level of service
  • process agency brokerage shipments
  • may handle remote filings
  • ensure all government and organizational policies are followed
  • perform other duties as assigned
