Job Requirements

  • Minimum six months work experience preferred
  • Data entry and keyboard experience required
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook

  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Ability to use multiple systems and reference materials
  • Ability to interact with diverse stakeholders including customers, carriers, brokers, government agencies, internal staff, and management

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to use multiple systems and reference materials
  • Experience interacting with customers, carriers, brokers, government agencies, and internal staff
  • Preferred prior work experience of six months or more

Job Duties

  • Coordinate documentation required by US Customs and government agencies for entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers
  • Provide impeccable customer service
  • Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release from various databases and resources
  • Data entry and processing of import-related documentation for submission to US Customs and participating government agencies
  • Maintain and update shipment documentation in compliance with record-keeping requirements
  • Adhere to international importing and exporting regulations
  • Work closely with internal staff, departments, FedEx operations, and customers to deliver high service levels
  • Process agency brokerage shipments
  • Handle remote filings
  • Ensure adherence to all government and organizational policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
