Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in international business, supply chain, or related field required
- Minimum 8 years experience in customs regulations and brokerage preferred
- Deep knowledge of U.S. import regulations, tariff classifications, country of origin, and valuation
- Strong vendor management skills with the ability to influence brokers and service providers
- Proven track record in process improvements and compliance best practices
- Exceptional problem-solving and project management skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Experience with supply chain security programs and duty drawback highly valued
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in international business, supply chain, or related field
- Minimum of 8 years experience in customs regulations and brokerage
- Strong knowledge of U.S. import regulations, tariff classifications, and valuation
- Proven vendor management and stakeholder influencing skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement compliance improvements
- Excellent problem-solving and project management abilities
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with SAP preferred
- Knowledge of supply chain security programs such as CTPAT and OEA
- Supervisory experience with delegation and training preferred
Job Duties
- Lead compliance excellence in U.S. and Canadian customs operations
- Manage customs brokers and freight forwarders including performance reviews and SOPs
- Identify and implement improvements to cross-border efficiency and risk reduction
- Provide strategic guidance on trade compliance and regulatory updates
- Develop and enforce customs policies on classification, valuation, and recordkeeping
- Analyze trade data to assess risks and guide decisions
- Deliver training on compliance best practices to teams and partners
- Collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain, logistics, legal, and business units
- Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance compliance and processes
