Job Requirements

  • Valid Customs Brokerage License
  • BS/BA degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 7 years of Entry Writer experience with management responsibility preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Customs Regulations
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Team-building, planning, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in Windows programs
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Customs Brokerage License
  • BS/BA degree preferred or equivalent related experience
  • Minimum 7 years experience as Entry Writer with progressive management responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of Customs Regulations
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Team-building and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Windows, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Maintain compliance with US Customs Brokerage Regulations
  • Monitor team's performance according to compliance policy and department goals
  • Provide guidance and leadership to Entry Writers
  • Conduct regular training on new regulations and company policies
  • Ensure timely and orderly file flow including release, billing, and auditing
  • Conduct entry audits for document accuracy
  • Monitor problem files and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with Sales Team on onboarding new brokerage accounts
  • Support sales efforts with timely responses
  • Increase profitability through efficiency improvements
  • Maintain communications with customers and government agencies
  • Manage department staff including performance and career development
  • Perform other assigned duties as required
