Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 to 5 years of entry writing experience
- 1 to 2 years of customs brokerage or import experience
- Accurate and rapid data entry skills
- Strong customer service abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to work weekend and holiday shifts as needed
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of entry writing experience
- 1 to 2 years of experience in customs brokerage or imports
- High school diploma or equivalent certificate required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to project a professional image and represent the company positively
- Experience with rapid and accurate data entry
- Proven customer service and problem-solving skills
Job Duties
- Perform administrative tasks in the import operations department servicing clients and suppliers
- Provide customer service while maintaining revenues from clients and contracted vendors
- Conduct file breakdown, data classification, photocopying, scanning, and assembling entries
- Manage import air recoveries, check cutting, and delivery order creation
- Audit commercial documents applying harmonized tariff schedule codes for accurate duty assessment
- Review and verify accuracy of import documentation including country of origin, IOR, terms of sale, and value
- Follow up daily on documentation discrepancies, troubleshoot and communicate effectively with customers and foreign origins
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager
- Work weekend and holiday schedules on a rotation basis as required
