Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or international trade or equivalent experience
  • Minimum six years of international trade experience
  • Knowledge of valuation, tariff coding, free trade agreements, and reconciliation
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in data manipulation and visualization tools such as Alteryx and Tableau
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience in telecom, technology, consumer electronics, or retail industries
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with integrity and enthusiasm

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or international trade or equivalent experience
  • Licensed customs broker preferred but not required
  • Minimum of six years international trade experience with knowledge of valuation, tariff coding, free trade agreements, and reconciliation
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with experience in data manipulation tools such as Alteryx and Tableau
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience in telecom, technology, consumer electronics, or retail industries
  • High level of confidence, integrity, enthusiasm, and executive presence

Job Duties

  • Manage day-to-day import, export, and logistics activities such as reviewing transport documents, tariff designation, and broker instructions
  • Leverage internal tools to designate product import classifications (USHTS) and ECCN codes, maintain ERP data, and manage parts database
  • Coordinate and conduct import audits including tariff codes, values, quantities, and FTA claims
  • Monitor brokerage compliance through metrics and broker scorecards
  • Ensure the customs broker maintains compliance and exercises reasonable care in customs declarations
  • Audit and process vendor billing invoices related to customs services
  • Monitor local and global customs law changes and provide guidance to mitigate risks
  • Support development and implementation of SOPs, training, and trade compliance best practices
  • Assist logistics department in analyzing and optimizing international transportation costs
  • Support export documentation, guidance, and restricted party screening
  • Assist in internal global policies and finance audits
  • Support cross-functional projects related to trade transactions
