Job Requirements
- Completion of vocational or technical degree
- At least 3 years customs brokerage experience
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Customer service oriented
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team
- Working knowledge of US Customs regulations import documentation requirements and logistics
- High level of autonomy and time management skills required
- High ability to handle multiple priorities without losing details
- Self-motivated and eager to learn
- Accustomed to working in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Proficient computer skills required MS Office and can quickly learn the company software and specific programs

- Proficient computer skills including MS Office and ability to quickly learn company software and specific programs
Job Duties
- Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of Metro’s workflow processes and Customs’ regulatory procedures ensuring these are being followed by all processing staff
- Assist team members with processing instructions and general Customs knowledge
- Provide team building and career development support
- Serve as the first level escalation point for day-to-day issues and problem resolution
- Minimize potential for service failures risk and loss
- Continue to perform as a team processor handling shipments in a timely and accurate fashion
- Resolve routine and complex issues relating to the day-to-day activities of the team
- Act as an onboarding liaison for new team members being a primary contact for training
- Assist the supervisor to monitor the overall production and workflow of the processing group
- Assist the supervisor in developing plans for increasing efficiency targeting potential areas for improvement and receiving feedback from team members on implemented plans
- Provide training to staff to increase individual proficiencies and knowledge base
- Ensure that work is evenly distributed and all shipments are accounted for based on client priorities and urgencies
- Provide feedback and input to the supervisory team to ensure continuous improvement
- Develop and maintain process and or procedures to ensure compliance with all the involved parties
