The role of Shipment Processing Specialist at CEVA Logistics is an opportunity for detail-oriented professionals to contribute significantly to the logistics operations by managing the intricate processes involved in inbound and outbound shipments. Candidates will act as the primary liaison among customers, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and other government agencies, facilitating smooth coordination throughout the shipment lifecycle.

In this capacity, the specialist will be responsible for reviewing, processing, and tracking shipment documentation accurately. They will utilize multiple CEVA systems to maintain up-to-date information, ensuring customer satisfaction by proactively communicating shipment statuses and resolving queries efficiently. Attention to detail in entering and updating customer profile information and preparing necessary quotations and communications are integral parts of the role.

The Shipment Processing Specialist must also be adept at managing regulatory compliance by obtaining necessary releases from government agencies, coordinating the delivery of shipments, and invoicing for services rendered. Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associates Degree preferred
  • Minimum one to three years related experience
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and job-specific software applications
  • Accurate typing and data entry skills
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations using U.S. currency, weights, and volume measurements
  • Ability to gather and analyze documents skillfully

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Serve as the single point of coordination between customers, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and other government agencies
  • Provide excellent and timely customer service by proactively informing clients of the status of their shipments
  • Receive, review, and process documentation for an assigned base of accounts
  • Interface with other CEVA systems to provide updates and communications for internal and external customers
  • Obtain release and other government agency releases as appropriate, arranging receiving or delivery, and ensuring accurate invoicing for services
  • Process duties required for compliant release and timely delivery and receipt of shipments after release
  • Perform initial reviews and advise supervisor of any problems or irregularities discovered within assigned transactions
  • Ensure customer profile information is entered and updated in the appropriate company system
  • Prepare quotations, letters, and communications as directed
  • Manage pre-alerts daily to determine whether freight is arriving as expected
