Job Requirements
- Completion of vocational or technical degree
- More than 3 years of customer service experience in customs brokerage or logistics
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Customs clearance experience is an asset
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build strong customer relationships

Job Duties
- Maintain and develop first class client relations via phone and email regarding shipments, discrepancies, billing, deliveries
- Open files for new shipments including completing forms and data entry
- Monitor shipment arrival status to ensure timely customs clearance
- Ensure receipt of all documents required for goods release
- Communicate with customs officials, government agencies, customers, and internal departments
- Review document content to ensure compliance
- Contact clients to confirm information such as goods descriptions and shipping manifests
- Resolve shipment issues through communication with customs and government agencies
- Track and update shipment status using electronic and manual methods
- Provide regulatory and operational guidance on US import process
- Coordinate with internal departments to meet shipment or client needs
- Assist clients with inquiries about job orders, billing, and operational questions
- Propose communication and workflow improvements to supervisor or manager
- Perform general clerical duties
- Validate completeness of Client SOPs for specific instructions
- Perform other clerical tasks as required
