Job Requirements
- typically requires bs/ba and 7-8 years experience in related field, including at least 3-4 years of supervisory experience
- customs brokerage license preferred
- strong computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database applications
- excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- considerable knowledge of all regulatory aspects related to importing

Job Duties
- execute custom and trade compliance plans and processes to optimize service and cost performance in the customs clearance activities
- contribute to planning and directing workflow of employees to ensure customs clearance is completed in a timely manner
- monitor shipped items, shipping validity dates and debits and duties/tariffs at government institutions
- execute customs entries (consumption and foreign trade zone), categorize goods based on information provided by customers and undertake customs security filing
- close out post clearance modification, execute inbound and outbound documentation, archive customs documents and record customs shipment information and physical status
- calculate duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight and volume of merchandise exported/imported to/from foreign destinations
- impart guidance on pricing and margin, support on bids, rfqs and customer presentations
- resolve customer issues and appropriately resolve incidents such as escalations/disputes raised by internal or external customers
